Philosophy
David believes that true healing is possible when a person’s identity is restored in relation to God, others and oneself. He holds that relational wounds accumulate and cause disconnection, leading to struggles that cut us off from our authentic selves and meaningful relationships. He compassionately reflects back what is true and gently guides clients toward reclaiming their identity—an identity healed and renewed through the transformative power of the Holy Spirit.
This philosophy emphasizes that therapy is not just a process of problem-solving, but a journey of restoration, where reconnection and secure identity are foundational to well-being.
Approach
David offers a warm and affirming approach to therapy, inviting individuals, couples, and families to bravely explore the deeper motivations behind unwanted behaviors. Clients often describe his style as direct, intentional, and rooted in common sense. David specializes in helping clients identify meaningful goals for therapy and in guiding them with clarity and support as they work toward lasting change.
Additional Services Available
David provides in-person autism spectrum disorder (ASD) evaluations as well as online autism testing in 42 states through his PSYPACT authorization. He specializes in adult autism assessments for clients 18 years and older.
Taking a comprehensive approach, David helps clients gain a deeper understanding of how their brains work and supports them in identifying possible next steps after the evaluation process. He views testing not as an endpoint but as the beginning of a personal journey toward greater self-understanding.
As a neurodivergent psychologist himself, David brings both professional expertise and personal insight to his work. He recognizes the challenges many clients face—such as receiving a diagnosis later in life, learning to self-advocate and navigating workplace accommodations, walking alongside them with understanding and guidance.
Group Therapy
David offers an ongoing Neurodivergent Support Group that is hosted online and can be joined at any time, making it accessible for flexible participation throughout the year. In addition to this, David organizes various interpersonal processing groups that are also held online, allowing participants to join from the comfort of their own home.
Workshops
David delivers specialized workshops focused on psychoeducation for churches, schools and in organizational settings. He has addressed topics such as:
autistic burnout
neurodivergence
