Allie believes it is a privilege to hear someone’s story. She sees each person as someone with immense purpose and value, carrying a journey that is unique to them. Her hope and prayer, as a counselor, is to provide a safe space for you to share your story. This may look like processing through a present stressor, navigating through a painful season or previous season(s), or unpacking fears regarding the future. Regardless of what brings you to counseling, she is committed to walking alongside you with intention toward your goals.

Her therapeutic approach includes an integration of client-centered, cognitive behavioral, and narrative therapies through a strengths-based lens. In other words, she believes the foundation of counseling is built upon authentic connection and trust with clients. From that foundation, we can work toward challenging distorted thoughts and beliefs, explore how your unique experiences have impacted you, and acknowledge your strengths and resilience along the way.

Allie received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Colorado Christian University. Throughout internship, she had the privilege of meeting with a variety of clients including children, adolescents, and adults. Clients pursued counseling due to self-esteem/confidence, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and loss, as well as life transitions. Additionally, she had the opportunity to co-facilitate boundary, bereavement, and art in therapy groups. Allie is passionate about integrating faith and spirituality in the counseling journey as well. She welcomes anyone, regardless of beliefs, and ensures that she approaches counseling for individual needs. Whether it was individual or group counseling, she felt incredibly honored to connect with clients and hear their stories.

A favorite verse:

“I will never forget this awful time, as I grieve over my loss. Yet I still dare to hope when I remember this: The faithful love of the Lord never ends! Great is his faithfulness, his mercies begin afresh each morning” (New Living Translation, 2015, Lamentations 3:21-23).

This guides not only her life but how she views counseling. While life can present sorrow and pain, we can still dare to hope. For afresh are His new mercies and beginnings every morning.
