Welcome!

My work in early intervention and special education showed me something beautiful: every behavior tells a story, every challenge has meaning, and every person can grow when they feel truly seen. The patterns we develop as children stay with us, which is why I'm passionate about bringing that same understanding to my work with adults.

With an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary, I've grown into professional counseling as a natural extension of that heart, now with deeper clinical training to help people reshape their stories at any stage of life.

What I understand most about connection and healing was forged in becoming a stepparent and navigating profound loss. This has been a daily practice in vulnerability, trust, and the messy, beautiful work of building relationships. My daughters came into my life as complete people with their own stories and loyalties. Through them, I've learned that genuine connection isn't about having all the answers. It's about showing up with an open heart, listening deeply, and honoring the space each person needs to grow. The experience of loss is a constant reminder that grief and love can be intertwined and that healing happens not in spite of pain, but through it.

This is the foundation of my empathy and my belief that our most meaningful growth occurs right in the heart of life's complexities. I bring this warmth and curiosity to my work, holding these lessons not as a roadmap for others, but as a lens through which I view the unique journey of every client I serve.

Areas of Focus

Later-Season Adults: I have a heart for adults navigating the challenges of aging, loss, and mortality. Whether it’s the quiet ache of getting older, confronting isolation or loneliness, processing grief, facing a terminal diagnosis, or wrestling with death anxiety and the big questions of mortality, our work is about walking together through life’s most difficult transitions to uncover a renewed sense of purpose, dignity, and even beauty and hope in the final chapters of your story.

Women Seeking Authenticity: I create a refuge for those who are tired of performing and ready to be themselves. When you are weary from the weight of others' expectations, struggling with inadequacy, or battling constant anxiety, our work is about reclaiming your voice, setting boundaries that honor you, and finding unshakeable peace.

Teens and Young Adults Finding Their Way: I am a non-judgmental anchor for young people navigating life's struggles. When you feel overwhelmed by emotions, misunderstood by the world, or uncertain about your identity and future, this is a safe place to explore who you are, build resilience, and learn to trust your own inner compass.

Spiritual Formation: For clients who want to ground their therapeutic journey in Christian faith, I offer specialized counseling that integrates Scripture as a primary source of wisdom and guidance. Whether you're wrestling with doubt, church hurt, or trying to reconnect belief with daily life, your convictions guide our work. This is a space to explore questions, pain, and belief in ways that lead toward growth rather than shame, helping you experience a deeper, healthier connection with God and your story.

Therapeutic Approach

My counseling approach is a steady, thoughtful partnership grounded in evidence-based care and rooted in the belief that healing begins when we can embrace the truth of our stories with compassion. I create a safe, non-judgmental space for you to find stability and restoration as you explore your unique journey.

I believe in an integrative approach, drawing from a range of therapeutic modalities to best fit your needs. We often start with practical tools from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to create stability and manage immediate stressors. From there, we can explore deeper patterns using Psychodynamic and Narrative therapies, helping you understand how past experiences shape your present and reclaim the authorship of your life. We'll also use Existential/Humanistic therapies and Mindfulness-based techniques to examine your values, connect with your inner wisdom, and find your own path to a more authentic life.

For clients who want their faith to be an active foundation for healing, I work from a biblical worldview. Your faith isn't a coping tool or an add-on; it's woven into how we understand your story. We explore the places where life has broken you open through the lens of biblical truth, using its wisdom as a resource for healing. All sessions are grounded in respect for your theological understanding and are always at your direction.

Free Time

I enjoy spending time with my husband and family, being at church, and attending Bible study. When I'm not with people, I'm often outside with my German Shepherd on walking adventures or chasing a Chuck-it ball. My mind is happiest when I’m underwater snorkeling the Pacific coral reefs, or when I’m out of my depth in a great old book. From Athanasius to Sproul, Dostoyevsky, and Tolstoy, I enjoy reading giants who wrestle with God on paper and the stories that ask the questions about life, faith, suffering, and what it means to be human.

If you’re ready to explore your story with truth and begin the work of renewal, I invite you to reach out. I offer a free consultation so you can get a feel for the process and see whether this is the right fit.
