Her work emphasizes growth in emotional regulation, self-compassion, patience, and inner steadiness—qualities that support healing and long-term resilience. She integrates EMDR with attachment-based, strengths-focused, and solution-focused approaches, tailoring treatment to each client’s needs and goals.

Approach

Carly is a trauma-informed therapist who works with adults, adolescents and couples navigating anxiety, depression, trauma and relationship challenges. She is EMDR trained and specializes in helping clients process painful experiences, reduce emotional distress and experience meaningful healing.

With nearly 20 years of military service, Carly has a deep understanding of the unique challenges faced by veterans, active-duty service members, first responders and their families. She is especially attuned to the effects of prolonged stress, trauma exposure, moral injury and identity transitions, as well as the ways suffering can test one’s faith, relationships, and sense of purpose. She is passionate about walking alongside clients as they build endurance, restore hope, and experience growth following adversity.

Carly is a Christian and thoughtfully integrates faith and spirituality into therapy when desired by the client. She believes spiritual beliefs can be a powerful source of strength, grounding and renewal. Carly approaches faith integration with humility, discernment and respect for each client’s journey.

Married with a blended family, Carly brings both professional and personal insight into the complexities of family systems, commitment, and growth. She partners with clients to create a personalized treatment plan that honors their story, strengthens what is already present, and supports healing, restoration, and a more authentic life.

Free Time: Carly enjoys spending time with family, time outdoors, running. She equally loves to lounge on the couch with her two large fur babies, Jasper and Ruby. Spending time baking treats, coloring as a mindfulness practice, listening to podcasts and enjoying good coffee are some of her favorite ways to recharge.

Education and Experience: Carly earned her M.S. in Community Mental Health Counseling from the University of Wyoming
